LOCATION:  Cherry Creek (White Pine County), Nevada

DESCRIPTION:  An exotic blend of rich red-brown chocolate to gray-white rays undulate through these two slabs comprising a pair of bookends which convey an inviting warmth. The outer sapwood yields a pleasant contrasting dark gray to deep brown/blackened margin.  Tyloses, or cyst-like structures in the heartwood are evident along the more inferior margins of each bookend slab, lending further texture to the pieces. Warm and appealing!
